Assignment 2: Design

I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with the idea for my design.  I really don't have anything right now, I'll be working on that more tonight.  But I would like to open up the floor to any suggestions or ideas from anybody.

Assignment 2: Data

I'm not going to type all of my data, but here are some examples:

1.  Sexual:
        * "I don't pamper myself...unless you count masturbation."
        * When asked to wet a paper towel, I put it by my privates.
        * "I'm not having something in my vagina for 5 years...unless it's a penis"

2.  Sexist:
        * "They're women, they should be naturally good at cleaning."
        * "Women are the worst."
        * "Why can't Hellen Keller drive?  Because she's a woman."

3.  Racist:
        * "It's like Mexico...there's probably drug lords there."
        * "Token, how many times do we have to go through this?  You're black, you can play bass."

4.  Swearing:
        * "You can go fuck yourself you fucking fuckface."
        * "She could fucking cure cancer, but she will always be the girl who shit in my fake washer."
        * "This bitch needs to shut the fuck up."

In addition to separating data by type, I also have it separated by day and medium (text, facebook, spoken, etc)

Assignment 2: Influences

I chose this graphic because I thought it was a good way to incorporate a lot of data, which is what I am going to be doing.

I chose this one because I feel this design could potentially work for my project.  It seems like a good representation of data.

Assignment 2: Problem

For this project, I decided to document all the politically incorrect and unladylike things I do, say, text, and post on Facebook.  In reviewing my data, I decided to separate the data by type:  swearing, sexism, racism, and sexual.  I separated the data in this way because these were the only categories into which all of my data fit.  I would like to incorporate some of the things I have said or posted into the map, although I'm still thinking of ways to do so.

I decided to document my unladylike-ness because I wanted to do something completely different, that other people would not think to use.  Also, everybody always seems to bring to my attention that I am more like a guy than a girl, and I wanted to see just how right they were, even though I already knew they were.
