Mapping: Color
My first rough draft used way too many colors, and bright colors. For my second rough draft, I focused on a variation of 1 color: purple. I chose purple because it is my favorite color. Since my project is very specific to me, I thought this was an appropriate choice. There are only 2 instances in which I stray from purple. The first is the speech bubbles in the middle. I used white because I thought it would center the eye and give the eye a break from purple. I want the viewer to first notice the center, then make their way around the center. The other instance is the pie chart. This is because a pie chart divided into 4 spaces can't get away with using only 3 variations of purple. I did choose purple for the spoken piece, again, because it's my favorite color. I chose blue for Facebook because Facebook is blue. I chose green for text because I have the iPhone, and the text icon is green on that. I chose red for actions because people usually get embarrassed with I perform such actions around them.
